Developing its research and teaching activities in the field of economics, MINES ParisTech
opens a 3-year post-doctoral position in economics.

The CERNA – Centre for industrial economics is the economic research centre of MINES
ParisTech at PSL University. It is also a member of the CNRS Interdisciplinary Institute on
Innovation (UMR 9217). Eight senior researchers and about 20 PhD students and post-docs
work in four main areas: industrial economics, economics of innovation, environmental
economics, and energy economics. The CERNA is actively involved in applied research that
seeks to answer questions posed by decision-makers in the private and public sectors.
Researchers are also involved in teaching in the MINES ParisTech Master in Science and
Executive Engineering and in other university masters. The research centre is located in the
heart of the Latin Quarter in central Paris.

The post is a postdoctoral position intended for a young researcher. The contract is for three
years.
More specifically, we invite applications in one of these fields:
1. Industrial organization
2. Economics of innovation
3. Energy economics
4. Environmental economics
5. Media economics

The individual will develop a research programme consistent with these research fields.
Publications in top academic journals and cooperation with other CERNA researchers are
expected.

Candidates should have completed their PhD and have international experience. They should
have an excellent academic background, but also a strong interest in applied questions. There
is no restriction on the nationality of the candidates.
