Dear TSE Alumni,

We are pleased to invite you to an Alumni Meet up in Paris on May 22.

We will welcome you at 19:00 at the prestigious Palais Brongniart thanks to the Institut Louis Bachelier.

As part of this event, we are honored to host a conference by Jean-François Bonnefon, IAST/TSE Research Faculty and Senior Researcher at CNRS, on "Behavioral Science for AI Ethics."

The conference will be followed by a cocktail reception where you will be able to nerwork with your fellow alumni and school representatives.

Abstract :

The ethics and governance of AI aim to maximise the social benefits of artificial intelligence while minimising its negative effects. The behavioural sciences are contributing to this effort through at least three lines of research, which I will illustrate during this conference. The ‘moral machine’ approach seeks to measure what individuals want machines to do when they make ethical decisions. The ‘machine behaviour’ approach seeks to measure what machines actually do, when their moral behaviour is sufficiently unpredictable to require study methods similar to those used for humans. The ‘machine culture’ approach seeks to measure the impact of machines on the moral behaviour of humans. Examples will include autonomous vehicles and delegation to artificial collaborators.

Please note that this event is organized on a first-come, first-served basis with a limited capacity of 70 seats. If you are available and interested, please register here quickly.

See you in Paris !
