The production of plastics has gone up by 2000% in 50 years. Only 10% of it currently gets recycled and 8 million tons of plastics leak into the oceans every year.
However, are plastics as evil as described in the press, or could they be an asset in the fight against Climate Change ?
What damage to the environment do they do compared with other industries ?
What is the outlook for the future, and what ideas are there to solve the problem of plastic waste ?
